Canaan Valley Ministries, May 1994 ministering to homeless under I45.  "And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then the righteous answer him, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?...Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:34 - 40

Canaan Valley Ministries is a non-profit 501c3 corporation, committed to preaching the gospel to the poor.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;..." Luke 4:18-19

Our mission is to fulfill Christ's commission to do the greater works on earth in preparation for Christ's coming for His bride. We are committed to perfecting the saints in the body of Christ to do Christ's works around the world. This will mean a greater revelation of Christ to endure the trials and tests necessary to win the lost in this day where so many men, women and children are being destroyed by so many distracting images exalting itself against the knowledge of Christ. The cost is denying self, living the crucified life of Christ. What the world most desperately need is hope! The poor includes not only those lacking material things. The poor are those blinded and destroyed by the corruption, lust and sin devastating our society destined for eternal punishment and damnation. We have a word of hope to share that is sure to give us victory. We have been chosen to salvation through the sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth. We invite you to hear this message of II Thessalonians 2:13
